About Me

It all started years ago in high school when a friend of mine was complaining of a sore neck and I did what any good friend would do - I offered to massage their neck and shoulders.  The next day they said that their neck felt fabulous and that the whole experience was the most amazing thing they had ever felt.  Later that day I bought a full body massage book.   It wasn’t long before  I started massaging anyone who would put themselves in front of me and I was  nicknamed Dr. Seuss, short for Dr. Masseuse.  Even though I loved massage I never thought I would make it my profession.

After attending the University of Vermont to earn my Biology and Chemistry degree and after working as a clinical consultant in Corporate America for 6 years, I decided to return to my true passion and love of massage.  I received my certification from Harbin School of Shiatsu and Massage and have been blissfully working as “Dr. Seuss” for the past 20 years.

Helping you get the most from a pain free body

I love bodies.  I love how they're put together and how they work.  I guess you could say that I'm a bit of a somatic nut and that bodywork is my passion.  It's been 20 years since I committed myself full time to bodywork and I just never seem to get tired of what I do.  One of things that brings me the most joy in life is helping my clients get out of pain.  Sure, a relaxing massage can be profound and healing in many, many ways, but I'm truly drawn to creating lasting change in your body that resolves injury and eliminates chronic discomfort.  Even though I consider what I do somewhat unique, I've received training in many different modalities.
